Every good deed paves the path for itself, especially when your will is righteous, your faith is powerful, and your work is pleasing to God. Each church built by the Tsarukyan family seemed to be the beginning of the next one, the continuation of which was directed by God and predetermined by everyone's advice.
In 2005, the Tsarukyan family started the construction of a church named after one of the greatest saints of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Saint Hovhannes the Baptist, in the city of Abovyan. The foundation took place in 2006, followed by 7 long and hard years of work. More than a hundred sculptors and jewelers, architects and muralists, builders, and workers joined the work of the Tsarukyan family.
The work never stopped. The church was on the mind of the whole Tsarukyan family with devotion, new emotions, and feelings with every stone and sculpture. The result was astonishing and beyond the limitless human imagination. Occupying an area of more than 10.000 square meters, the Church of St. Hovhannes the Baptist dominates the entire city. It is symbolic that the legendary Ararat is visible from its majestic height, as a silent witness of the history of the Armenian people.
