The church-building activities of the Tsarukyan family, starting from their native place of birth, expanded the geography and spread to the border area of Ayrum.
The church-building activities of the Tsarukyan family, starting from their native place of birth, expanded the geography and spread to the border area of Ayrum.
Promising to bring to life the year-long dream of the Ayrum inhabitants to have a church, in the spring of 2007, Gagik Tsarukyan personally laid the first stone of the St. Hovhannes church to be built on the top of the mountain and announced the start of construction. The Tsarukyan family has been consistent in order to build the church in the shortest possible time. As promised, after about a year and a half of daily work, St. Hovhannes church opened its doors to all the faithful people of the community.
