Stages of implementation

Stage 1
On February 7, 2022

On February 7, 2022, the members of the commission formed by the order of Gagik Tsarukyan studied all the proposals. Well-known specialists from different countries of the world participated remotely in the work of the commission.

In early March 2022, the commission sent letters to state and non-state professional bodies to engage professionals in order to provide advice. During those days, it became known that the final version of the monumental statue complex of Jesus Christ will be chosen as a result of public voting and by combining the votes of the committee members.

On March 18, 2022, the committee held a press conference to announce the completion of the first round of the competition for the monumental statue complex of Jesus Christ. The works were summarized and the names of 21 artists-sculptors became known. The works of those artists-sculptors still decorate many cities of the world and enjoy great recognition.

Stage 2
On March 23

The office of the "Gagik Tsarukyan" charity foundation hosted the 21 authors who passed the penultimate stage of the competition. At almost the last stage of the work, Gagik Tsarukyan suggested the specialists improve their projects and present themselves in a new way. Sculptors were given one month. The end of the last phase was announced on April 20, 2022. On that very day, the works were selected and put to vote.
