The creation process
Start of construction works
The construction of the largest and most powerful statue of Jesus Christ in the world started on July 9, 2022. On that historic day, the start of this event of global importance was announced at the top of Mount Hatis. This event also brought to Armenia prestigious international media like "Euronews", "Voyages Afriq", "El Confidential".
Mount Hatis, located in the northeast of the Kotayk region, has a height of 2528 meters.
The complex will be unique in its kind
On July 9, 2022 a copy of the document announcing the start of construction, signed by Gagik Tsarukyan, UN World Tourism Organization Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili, and RA Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan, was placed by the philanthropist's mother, Mrs. Roza Tsarukyan, at the place where Armenia's biggest construction project was to begin.
First, Gagik Tsarukyan presented the details to the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, noting that the complex will be unique in its kind, will include a museum, a cableway, recreation areas, and will have all the necessary infrastructure for the development of tourism, accommodation, food facilities, and shops will be at the base of the mountain.

The idea of national solidarity, Armenian unity, development of tourism, giving a new boost to the economy, and presenting Armenia to the world in a new way is the basis of the construction of the statue.
